St Martin’s Pre-Primary School’s School Readiness and Language Programmes are foundational and effective in preparing children for the demands of formal education.

Exposure to the emergent skills (of pre-reading, pre-writing and pre-numeracy) ensures that our pupils readily make the transition to “Big School”.

We are fortunate in the calibre and standards of the Junior Primary Schools to which we provide a feed.

However, St Martin’s enjoys a particularly strong bond and relationship with Chelsea Preparatory School.
We are considered a satellite provider of Grade R education to Chelsea, in accordance with the regulations of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education and Culture.

Pupils at our School are, therefore, given preferential placement into Grade 1 at Chelsea, provided that parents respect and meet the dictated conditions for acceptance.
